RDU5 Series Surge Protection Device CE

The RDU5 series surge protector is mainly suitable for TN-C, TN-S, TT, IT, and other power supply systems with AC 50Hz/60Hz, nominal discharge current 5kA~60kA, the maximum discharge current 10kA~100kA, rated working voltage 220V/380V and below, to limit and protect lightning overvoltage and surge overvoltage in the power grid. Widely applicable to surge protection requirements in residential, transportation, power, tertiary, and industrial fields.

The product complies with the IEC/EN 61643-11:2011 standard.

The RDU5 series surge protector adopts a varistor with excellent nonlinear characteristics, which is connected between the phase line and neutral line (L-N), phase line and ground line (L-PE), and neutral line and ground line ( N-PE). In the normal state, the surge protector is in a state of extremely high resistance, and the leakage current is almost zero, ensuring the normal power supply of the power system. When the power supply system suffers from overvoltage under the above conditions, the surge protector will immediately conduct in nanosecond time, limit the amplitude of overvoltage to the safe working range of the equipment, and guide the energy of overvoltage to the earth, thus protecting the electrical equipment. Subsequently, the surge protector quickly changes to a high resistance state, which does not affect the normal power supply of the power supply system.
